Once In A New Years Eve Blue Moon!

Once In A Blue Moon

Once in a blue moon there is one on
New Year's Eve this year

WOW how astonishing!

This New Year's Eve blue moon will be visible in the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Africa. For party goers in Australia and Asia, the full moon does not show up until New Year's Day, making January a blue moon month for them.

However, the Eastern Hemisphere can celebrate with a partial lunar eclipse on New Year's Eve when part of the moon enters the Earth's shadow. The eclipse will not be visible in the Americas.

The Blue Moon partial eclipse is a VERY odd occurrence to me, especially since it is happening on New Years Eve!

I personally last recall seeing, bathing in a Blue Moon Eclipse in November 2003 (memory may be failing)
yet I am pretty certain that was when it was.

My minds eye has to conjure thoughts regarding all the hoopla surrounding the cause and effects of the not so distant December 21 st 2012 doomsday theory when MASS planets align
NO ONE really knows for certain what will happen.

The ancient Mayan Calender ends on that day in time.
Many belive that this is an actual mark of the 'end of time' as we know it
a prediction of sorts
What is the true meaning, who really knows?

My thoughts are things like this Blue Moon phenomena that are happening such as tomorrow nights events and so on and the likes are actually/likely a part, in essence a precursor to the 2012 whatever that really may or may not bring about.

Tidbits I Gathered To Share

A Blue Moon is the second full moon in a calendar month. For a blue moon to occur, the first of the full moons must appear at or near the beginning of the month so that the second will fall within the same month.

"Blue Moon" appears to have been a colloquial expression long before it developed its calendrical senses. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the first reference to a blue moon comes from a proverb recorded in 1528:

If they say the moon is blue,
We must believe that it is true.

So what are YOUR thoughts?
Care to share?

Peace & Love
OH AND
Happy New Year

Well Almost

 Friday The Thirteenth~

Friday The Thirteenth

Below Is NOT My Work
It has been around the WEB for at least 10 yrs
Thought it might be fun so

Have You Any Ooooooohhhh Tales To Tell

I have but one good one to share that happened to me on
Friday The Thirteenth
If time permits I will share today in the comments.

Happy Friday 13th!

One of the most commonly held superstitions in our so-called civilized, educated society is that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day, and since, in this equation, each is held to be unlucky, added together, their sum can only equal double trouble.

The modern basis for the aura that surrounds Friday the 13th stems from Friday October the 13th, 1307. On this date, the Pope of the church in Rome in Conjunction with the King of France, carried out a secret death warrant Against "the Knights Templar". The Templars were terminated as heretics, never again to hold the power that they had held for so long. There Grand Master, Jacques DeMolay, was arrested and before he was killed, was tortured and crucified.

Superstitions swirling around Friday as being lucky or unlucky have existed since ancient times, beginning with the northern nations. Ancient Romans dedicated the sixth day of the week to their beautiful, but vain, goddess Venus, so, when the Norsemen adopted the Roman method of naming days, they naturally adopted Venus as their name for the sixth day of the week. Their closest translation for Venus, Frigg, or Freya, eventually evolved into Friday, a day they considered to be the luckiest day of the week.

From a religious standpoint, Muslims tout Friday as the day Allah created Adam, legend has it that Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, the apple, on a Friday, and later died on a Friday, and Christians consider Friday as the day on which Christ was crucified by the Romans.

The Scandinavian belief that the number 13 signified bad luck sprang from their mythological 12 demigods, who were joined by a 13th demigod, Loki, an evil cruel one, who brought upon humans great misfortune. The number 13, in the Christian faith, is the number of parties at the Last Supper, with the 13th guest at the table being the traitor, Judas. When Christians combine this day and number, the combination can only hold special significance.

Whether or not a person considers Friday the 13th as unlucky, he or she must understand that this superstition, as well as others, merely stem from beliefs or practices man used, and continues to use, to explain, and to protect himself, from events beyond his control in his complicated world. He worked, and works only with the bag of knowledge he has on hand.

Only when factual, scientific bases for these beliefs are unearthed, and people do not dispel the beliefs, but instead cling to them, the beliefs become superstitions. Today's beliefs may very well be tomorrows superstitions. Until then, however, don't step on a crack!

Anyone else have Friday 13 origins?

 Tibetan Or Hindu Gau's, Ghau's, M udra's~

~Prayer Boxes~
OR
Gau's aka Ghau's

The above is one of my Gau's

I have always said it is the mind of a limited man
Who can spell or say a  word but just one way.
That holds true here as well.
I do not have a limited mind.

A Gau is in a sense a mini Altar
They are also portable Shrines
One can carry small images, or prayers to their personal Deity
or even an image of him/her.

Many carry Amulets or other personal items in them
It keeps one in constant connection
With the special meaning in which they

Have placed their personal thoughts, prayers etc into this Little mini Altar.

You might be thinking Altar, mini Shrine what!
You mean you can wear this.
The answer is yes a big yes!

They come in many sizes, shapes, designs and so on
Personally I have four in which of one mine is at the top of this post.
No, it is not filled with the water, I made that within the image.

I have one with Garuda, a winged Hindu Deity
Who carried Lord Shiva

Another is a simple small oval one with a Lapis Stone

Another is a very old one large it is covered in wool,
A pouch of sorts, with a long strap
Many
Dragons are carved into this one it is filled with Herbs, tiny pieces of cloth and
Buddha displaying a Mudra

Mudra's are shapes made by ones fingers,
Each one (Mudra) holding a special meaning
These different Mudra's have helped me a lot over the years
With Anxiety as one meditates, and performs the Mudra, it becomes
Second nature to go into that particular
Meditative State that the specific Mudra represents

In my case I studied ones that would
Almost immediately bring me into a

Meditative state of calmness.

The Mudra's and getting to that state requires
Much practice to get ones 'psyche'
Conditioned to go into that
State of calmness.

To me they are great working tools!

So there you have Gau's and Mudra's
Another reason I consider myself quite eclectic in my
Spiritual beliefs.

As both above, the Gau and the Mudra
Are not of Western Religion or Spiritually
Rather adopted by we Westerners and utilized as we see fit
To do so Spiritually.

There is no wrong or right in Spirituality or Religious Beliefs

Simply Believe
That is all you need to do.

To Know
To Dare
To Will
To Keep Silent

Why am I not silent?
Many would not know if I did not share and I also have a belief
'To keep it, you must turn it over'
As I am doing with you.

With
Love & Light

 Using The Body And Mind~

Your
Mind & Body

As Magick

This post will be as short or as long as I 'feel' I should make it as I type it.
It will be about using ones body, or body parts as Magickal vehicles, or the conductress' of Magick.

Have you ever felt really odd when someone is pointing at you, not even in a mean way, or a scolding way? Well this could mean that person holds a lot of power in their hands and Spirit, sometimes far more than they may even be aware of.

This holds true for the 'Eye' as well, as I have always been able to give the 'eye' and so has my grand baby Kat, very early on for her too. She can and will get very upset if I 'slip' and give her the 'eye' she will actually 'get after me' I wont say here what she told my daughter who gave her the eye a few weeks back and Kat diverted herself, turned her back, and when she looked again daughter was still 'eying her' Kat got angry and then said just f*** it, you don't understand.

The statement came about when she had turned away (submitted) and my daughter continued to stare at her, the 'eye' she was just playing with her but boy oh boy Kat did not see it as play.

She, Kat is good with 'the eye too'

So back to my initial story, I said I would let this take me where it may soooooo

~Point A Finger Cast A Spell~

I don't know this but 'I know this" oxymoron, no not really as there are many things that many know that others do not feel or believe as they cannot see it or feel it, or sometimes do and simply refuse to acknowledge it.

Some people hold a lot of power in their 'pointer' and it is and can be used as a Wand, a Scepter of sorts, a tool of Magickal workings. Think I am crazy? Well that may be so but I am also being truthful, ask any Witch who is near fifty, she will know if she has been into the Craft most of her life (or his life) yes, men are called Witches too.

Life forces hold a lot of power, some day I may do a Video of the power of the body in regards to Magick. Something that even awe struck me, and I don't know why it did, I have no clue why when I say to someone WOW did you see that, or hear that or whatever, it's like duh as I have seen stuff all my life yet I still challenge the reality of it.

The hands hold powers to heal as well, just 'laying on hands' can heal, I have been healed in the past by Elders of the Melchizedek Priesthood (among others) those I speak of now were young Mormon Men, one who held so much power and Magick, even I was mystified at his enlightened Spirit!

To this day I think of him often, and conjure up his sweet kind face and heart, so filled with love & light, unreal!

So if Fingers are Wands, or can be, and Eyes, hold power and Magick, why cannot the entire body be a Magickal Vehicle.

I can answer that one, to those who believe that Magick is wrong or bad and that is their choice, yet I believe what I know to be truth.
Yet there will always be the naysayer's.

This leads me to one last thing, Discernment aka Seer or Seeing in a Magickal Sense.

Our friend Lookin' here on the Stream has been gifted with Discernment, she sees and often time is given Visions about people, things events before they happen, warnings, or Omens of sorts.

This is Discernment to her, Gifted by God
Whereas to me it is called Seer Gifted by Ancients whomever they may be, as I sometimes 'see' things, events before they happen.

Call it what you may, or will Spirituality,
Magick, God, Goddess
I will call it Love, Light And Blessings engulfed with Magick from the Divine
Whatever one chooses to see as their own, personal Divine Being (s)

There is no wrong, there is no right.

So that is a tastes of 'body' Magick or at least a little about it in regards to the body being a Magickal Vehicle.
We all have the ability to stay 'in tuned'

So the next time you see some little old lady,
OR
A small sun kissed raisin colored child lol
thinking of my Kat Pointing their 'finger" and you feel odd,  just remember, or better yet, wonder what they might be really thinking and how old is the Soul that really is in the thing we call Body for many Spirits have traveled many lifetimes.

They are called 'Old Souls'
Another Story, for another time
